Job Description:

We are looking for candidates with experience in factory management and production lines for the manufacturing of nuclear fusion components with high requirements.

GENERAL TASKS

  • FBL Steering Committee delegates responsibility and authority to the Project Director on the daily decisions
  • Responsible for being the communication via between client and the Steering Committee
  • Provide leadership on culture and values, keep the project aligned with the organization’s strategy, governance of project risk, focuses on realization of benefits and recommends opportunities to optimize cost/benefit
  • Provide timely decisions, clarifies decision-making framework, clarifies business priorities and strategy, communicates business issues, provides resources, engenders trust, manages relationships, and promotes ethical working
  • Responsible for compliance of all terms regarding to the Project progress
  • Contact with client to ensure and monitoring the good practices in the Project
  • Project Integration and Project Management: scope management and follow up of costs, KPI, schedule, risk, procurement, quality, HR, HSE, financial, engineering deliverables and manufacturing. Action Management tool. Follow up of Actions.
  • Daily contact and coordination with the Project team to analyze the status of the Project
  • Detection of tools and market opportunities to improve the Project efficiency
  • Detecting potential improvements and enhancements to the management of the Project
  • Preparation and/or revision of documentation regarding the division of Project Management
  • Managing and following up on the contractual status of bank bonds (performance guarantees and pre-financing)
  • Responsible for reviewing and obtain signature of Purchase Orders
  • Detection of potential improvements and risks to the Project
  • Attending meetings and analyzing proposals for general improvements
  • Contact with possible suppliers
  • Continuous study of improvements on the market to analyze their implementation in the Project
  • Contract Management:
    • Follow up of all contractual clauses
    • Submission of contractual documents.
    • Deviations and Contract Modifications.
    • Amendments of the contract.
    • Exchange of Contractual Information.
    • Deviation Orders and Approved Deviations Request.
    • Dual Use and Intellectual Property.
    • Compensation events
  • Organization structure and responsibilities.
    • Personnel Competencies, training and certification
    • Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP)
  • Participation on Non Conformity Process
  • Progress Report Submission (executive summary and integration of each division reports)
  • Approval and revision of Cost Statements
  • Review, control and approval of invoicing. Approval of travel expenses
  • Support to definition of priorities from a scheduling point of view (critical path, main subcritical paths and slack analysis)
  • Ensure the knowledge of the Project and Lessons Learned
  • Support and help to Project Management Support in general tasks regarding to the division

SPECIFIC TASKS

  • Support and collaboration to solve any Project blocking point. Detecting interdisciplinary technical problems on the Project and preparing proposals by integrating a valid solution for all the disciplines
  • Definition of general strategy for the processes and procedures of each Project division. Revision and monitoring of processes follow-up
  • Managing the insurance policies on the FBL workshop building
  • Coordinate and evaluate needs and strategy for preparing FBL purchase orders with partners (Empresarios Agrupados and Leading Metal Mechanics)
  • Definition of needs and support to Project Management Support in:
  • Writing up contracts associated with the direct orders from FBL partners
  • Writing up contracts associated with the indirect orders from FBL partners
  • Analyzing the information and cost estimates of the contracts with F4E to carry out orders of direct and indirect costs
  • Contacting all the parties involved in FBL costs
  • Estimates of indirect costs for Cash Flow
  • Reviewing the orders before invoicing them
  • Definition of strategy and assumptions for the analysis of the tasks regarding baseline composition
  • Evaluating and estimating amendments to the contract
  • Revision and approval of deviations from the contract in terms of costs, tasks, documentation, staff hours, resources and risks
  • Analyzing the following points:
  • Documents holding the original requirements
  • Impacted documents
  • Impact on technical scope (with support of Integration Engineer)
  • Impact on cost of the contract
  • Impact on duration of the contract
  • Impact on interfaces
  • Impact on safety
  • Impact on other: proposal valid until, safety class
  • Integrating the technical and cost information among the disciplines
  • Supporting follow-up, coordination, and actions to carry out to undertake the DNOs in the contract
  • Managing, definition of strategy and following up on the Subcontractors’ backup plans:
  • Establishing the responsibilities of each person to overcome the issues
  • Integrating the information from the different disciplines (Quality, Control, HSE, Procurement, Engineering, Design and Manufacturing) to manage the backup plans
  • Support in preparing the information needed for future decisions in case of having to carry out a Plan B
  • Support Site Responsible on any need that may arise on the site
  • Support on definition of strategy for the contractual and commercial management of several contracts
  • Purchase orders awarding information approval before preparation for Steering Committee final approval
  • Major purchase orders Supplier Documentation follow up

MANUFACTURING (PRODUCTION LINE)

  • Definition and prioritisation of the Production Line
  • OEE monitoring
  • Manufacturing strategy and organization
  • Production control and production plan definition
  • Support for technical requirements coming from the factory
  • Ensuring compliance with technical requirements throughout the manufacturing stage
  • Ensuring proper use of correct documentation for the manufacturing stage
  • Reporting of incidents and technical non-conformities
  • Process specifications shall include quality provisions, methods for inspection and test, number of samples, accept or reject criteria
  • Definition of long lead time items (equipment, materials, components and so on)
  • Design and analysis necessary in order to demonstrate that a particular solution for the manufacturing design of the component is acceptable
  • Production line suitable for the series manufacturing
  • Analysing, testing and development activities to produce preliminary manufacturing design
  • Responsible for reporting the Manufacturing Contractual Deliverables to the customer via CTS
  • Assurance that the Process FMEA/FMECA (P-FMEA/FMECA) which shall be input for the definition of the critical quality items is followed
  • Responsible for the issuance of the Manufacturing Flow Chart (macro and micro)
  • Identify critical quality items/activities related to serial production in a manufacturing flowchart (macro and micro).

Required Education:

Relevant engineering degree(s).

Required Experience:

At least 5 years in demanding and complex manufacturing and engineering projects, ideally in the Energy sector (preferably in the Nuclear and/or in O&G).
