Resumen

Torrelavega plant is the largest and the oldest work center of Solvay Group in Spain. Operating since 1908 Torrelavega plant has 400 workers in 78 hectares of production of sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, salt, chlorine, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid and hydrogen. All products serve as chemical basis for other industries.

Your Main Tasks Will Be This position is based in Torrelavega SPAIN and you’ll report to the SHEQ Manager of the site Mrs Sonsoles Pérez.

  • Assist his/her manager in the projects and programs lead/carry out by the Site SHEQ Unit.
  • Help to deploy the Group and GBU Soda Ash policies, objectives and improvement plans.
  • Maintain and improve the existing Q processes in the framework of quality assurance and quality control.
  • Supervise and coordinate quality assurance and quality control teams
  • Define and monitor management systems.
  • Implement the management systems and ensure its continuous improvement.
  • To be updated and interpret relevant local, national and international legislation and regulations.
  • Ensure the effective functioning of, and compliance with the management system(s) legislation and regulations.
  • Implement the Customer complaints system.
  • Train or assist in training of employees and subcontractors in GMP matters.
  • Maintain Site certifications.
  • Conduct and support Inspections and Client/Management System Audits.

Profile:

  • University degree in Science and/or Technology (desirable in Chemistry)
  • More than 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control on an industrial chemical/pharma site
  • Proven knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices for Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Official degree in Food safety
  • Spanish: native speaker
  • English fluent in writing and speaking
  • Knowledge in French language is also desirable
