Director Adjunto de Logística Torrelavega

Torrelavega plant is the largest and the oldest work center of Solvay Group in Spain. Operating since 1908 Torrelavega plant has 400 workers in 78 hectares of production of sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, salt, chlorine, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid and hydrogen. All products that serve as chemical basis for other industries.

You Will Report Directly To The Supply Chain Manager Of Torrelavega Plant And Your Main Tasks. Will Be The candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to transform this Department for becoming a reference in the Group. • Ensure that our activities comply with SHEQ policies and regulations
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
• Participate and support the overall Supply Chain activity of the Department
• Collaborate and interact with the Supply Chain Soda Ash family worldwide
• Be the change agent of the Department

Skills & Qualifications:

• Master degree in engineering or comparable
• Minimum 5 year experience in a Logistic Company or Manufacturing Industry (ideally pharma / food)
• Knowledge of lean / 6 Sigma / Root cause analysis / Problem solving
• Knowledge of SAP & expert in MS excel: cost control, stock management, planning, scheduling,…
• Knowledge of Quality Systems
• Fluent verbal and written in Spanish and English. Knowledge of French language is also desirable.
• Good communicator
• Demonstrate ability to lead and manage staff
• Team player, pragmatic, proactive, persuasive, open to change, tenacious.
• Able to prepare and deliver clear/concise presentations and reports.
• Available for international travel.
• International / multi-functional team experience will be a plus
