Role Overview
We are looking for:
- A Production Engineer to join Solvay’s Torrelavega Soda Ash Production Unit
We count on you for:
- Follow-up production performance and propose initiatives to improve competitiveness
- Ensure that process engineering activities comply with HSE policies and regulations
- Perform projects in the domain of product quality assurance, process improvement, and development
- Assist the manager in order to realize the production plans, and ensure troubleshooting when necessary
- Act as a continuous improvement change agent toward manufacturing excellence
- Assist in the development and implementation of capital investment projects
- Write documentation about the production process and the facility and impart training to the production staff
- Monthly report and analysis of data (OEE, technical report, CO2 emissions report, Excellence projects report, …)
- Interact with other Production & Process engineers of other Solvay Soda Ash sites

You will bring:
Education and experience
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or similar
- A minimum of 2 years of experience operating in a chemical plant
- Knowledge of different unit operations such as distillation, crystallization, filtration, and drying…) is a plus
Technical skills:
- Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory. Any other language is a plus
- Knowledge of current tools for process analysis and optimization (office software suites, data analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab …)
- Knowledge of Process Automation (automatic control, DCS,…)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
