Research scientist Torrelavega

Responsibilities:

• Innovate, plan and execute R&D initiatives and support lignin product development
• Assimilate, analyze and conduct application test methods unique to lignin technology
• Ability to conceptualize from bench/pilot to commercial scale
• Provide technical knowledge and guidance to the organization outside of the R&D group
• Manage projects within a schedule and report findings
• Provide technical support to customers
• Conduct literature searches and draft patents as needed
• Visit customers and attend conferences

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Relevant experience in market segments served by Borregaard LignoTech will be valued
• Fluent in English & Spanish (both oral and written)

• Individual drive and the ability to work in a cross-cultural and international environment
• Highly motivated and self-reliant
