About the role:
Our Procurement team, composed of 7 people, is integrated in the Procurement Function department and focuses on managing all sourcing and tactical purchasing for Solvay Spain.
As a Site Procurement Buyer (SPB), you will work in collaboration with the category managers and site operational stakeholders. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the elaboration of the categories’ strategies and their implementation and have a positive impact on Torrelavega’s site.
You will be accountable for:
- Supporting the management of all sourcing & tactical purchasing activities for the goods and services required for the site in accordance with the Solvay Procurement Governance.
- Contributing to the elaboration of the categories’ strategies and supporting the implementation at the site level.
- Analysing the spend evolution and operational issues, actively supporting the development of spend optimisation opportunities and driving operational improvements.
- Implementing and monitoring procurement policies and processes.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with local suppliers.
We offer a permanent contract based on an on-site working mode.
About you:
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering. Relevant work experience in Procurement of 8 to 10 years.
Competencies:
- Spanish: native language level
- Fluency in English (other languages such as French or German are a plus)
- Knowledge of country/regional regulations
- Industrial experience and production plant technical knowledge are preferred.
- ERP Knowledge or SAP BW experience is a plus, as well as having experience in digital procurement.

About the pay:
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While Spain’s base pay reasonably expected for this role is 43,000 EUR, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
