1) National energy policy support in alignment with the GBU roadmap:
- keeping up to date with legislation and energy regulation
- benchmarking energy consumptions against best practice guidelines
- to propose and implement Solvay Energy & Climate Change Policy strategy in Spain
- identify key stakeholders and stablish a network
- liaise and negotiate with legal entities
2) Structural energy projects assistance to industrial sites:
- creating policies and systems for buying energy and helping with contract negotiations
- coordinate all aspects of energy management on Spanish and European legal frame
3) Internal operational assistance for Solvay Energy Services or GBUs/sites:
- to plan, regulate and monitor the energy use in BU or site(s)
- to improve efficiency by evaluating energy in use and putting in place new policies and changes where needed
4) Purchasing Management:
- Spanish market in depth knowledge about gas and electricity as well as the markets for coal, anthracite and coke
- to manage key negotiations and follow up the complete purchasing process
- to deliver savings through the purchasing process for the internal customers
- manage the purchase and logistic chain of solid fuel supply in collaboration with international solid fuel sourcing team
- stay updated about trends and evolutions within own market and about all other (financial, legal, competitive…)
- prepare tenders for electricity, gas and solid fuel considering all relevant information from internal customer
Profile:
- More than 15 years of experience in energy sector and/or in industry
- Degree level in Engineering (with a strong background in energy and economics)
- Fluent in Spanish and English (French is a must)
- Ability to:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the (G)BU addressable end-markets and segments trends and needs
- Translate that understanding into an effective targeting strategy for the (G)BU
- Able to start a network and maintain good relationship with the necessary stakeholders (internal & external)
- Strategic orientation, Impact & influence; self-empowerment and entrepreneurship;
- Self-starter with capability for information gathering, analytical skills and conceptual thinking
- Available to travel frequently
