Descripción
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach all levels of Spanish classes (from basic to advanced to specialized) at the undergraduate level, with specialization in translation, interpreting or related field. Teaching load is 24 credits per academic year. While the focus of the university is on teaching, it is expected that the successful candidate must contribute to the overall strength of the Spanish program, in particular the Applied Professional Track. Involvement with professional organizations, scholarship in discipline, advising, student recruitment, and service to the academic community is expected. Possible opportunities to lead summer immersion trips.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: PhD in Spanish is required. ABD with completion date by August 1, 2013 may be considered. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English is expected. College teaching experience preferred.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, tenure-track appointment, to begin August 2013.
