Building specialists

The European Institutions’ are looking for experts in the field of security of buildings and engineers in the field of building service engineering to be based in Brussels or Luxembourg.

As a building security expert, your main duties will be to ensure the security of persons, property and sensitive and classified information in an effective manner, and to lay down the technical specifications in the field of security engineering for large-scale building construction projects and monitor the security work until acceptance of such work.

To join us, you will need a good diploma in engineering, criminology or another relevant discipline, or alternatively extensive vocational training in a police, military or intelligence environment. This should be backed by sound experience in the area of security. You will also be fluent in an official EU language, with a good command of English, French or German.

As a building service engineer, you will manage the Institutions building stock and building projects. You will be called upon to perform conceptual work and technical management, analysis and technical and administrative supervision work related to technical installations. Among other things these duties require an aptitude for drafting, analysis, technical supervision, administrative management and a thorough working knowledge of office software, planning and/or computer aided design (CAD) software.

Together with an appropriate engineering degree, you will bring proven professional experience of preparing and overseeing building projects with technical installation budgets exceeding €500,000, and you will be fluent in an official EU language with a good command of English, French or German.
