Reporting to the Team Leader of Credit Control-France and Spain, this role involves the control of credit to a diverse customer base.
Working effectively and efficiently with both account customers and the business units, the Credit Controller will be required to work closely with, and support, the Administrators Duties.
Initiate and maintain quality contacts with internal and external customers.
Initiate customer credit limit reviews & maintain credit management data.
Review blocked orders & release as appropriate.
Review accounts after payments have been posted and identify any outstanding items for which there are no known queries and request payment or query information from customers.
Follow up existing queries with sales and customer services.
Build strong relationships with business units to ensure disputes are handled within acceptable time scales.
Review accounts daily to identify credit notes issued, add notes to invoices or debit notes to which they relate.
Review aged debt report and chase overdue balances.
Produce monthly statements.
Escalation of collection activity to management / internal legal department – Handling cases of insolvency / administration, issuing claims under ‘ retention of title’.
Supporting export business, utilizing letters of credit; bank drafts and other forms of payment or payment guarantee.
Ensure that customer information / contacts are maintained – Support Administration as necessary, particularly by chasing remittances.
To apply for this role you must have the following:
- Previous experience in credit control, receivables or general finance.
- Excellent organisational & Time Management skills.
- Good communication & negotiation skills.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, French and Spanish.
