We are looking to appoint a well qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher of Spanish to lead a team of eleven staff in our thriving Modern Foreign Languages faculty. Length of experience need not stop anyone from applying for this post. What matters is that you are a talented practitioner with a passion for languages.
Ideally, you will be:
- An outstanding classroom practitioner able to teach Spanish up to A Level alongside another modern foreign language
- Able to lead a team of staff delivering Spanish, French, Mandarin, German and Polish
- Be innovative and creative in developing initiatives to maximise students? progress in languages
- Passionate about broadening horizons through understanding of global issues.
The department is well resourced and all teaching rooms have an inter-active whiteboard and continue to develop innovative practice using new technologies. The majority of students study two languages at Key Stage 3 and most will take at least one language as a GCSE qualification. French, German, Spanish and Polish are also taught at A Level. You will have the opportunity to prepare for the next stage of your career in school through Coventry CPD networks.

Nature of Work: The successful candidate will teach a 5-5 course load that will include day and evening courses, primarily in elementary and intermediate Spanish.
Qualifications: Minimum requirement, master’s in Spanish. Earned doctorate in Spanish preferred. Candidate selected for employment will be subject to a background investigation.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
