This is an exciting role within the Corporate Credit Risk team within the Wholesale Credit Risk Department is primarily involved with the analysis and credit rating of UK multinational and UK corporate clients. The Corporate Credit Risk team is instrumental in transmitting and implementing the local and the group best practices, credit policies, procedures and risk appetite within the Global Banking Model in UK.

As a Risk Manager – Corporates your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Degree educated within a relevant discipline or relevant experience
  • .A good working knowledge of loan products and treasury products including familiarity with covenant (setting and monitoring), security, documentation (ISDAs) and facility structuring etc;
  • A demonstrable track record in risk analysis of UK and Multinational Corporates, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow trends,
  • High degree of computer literacy and ability to interpret complex business models and run appropriate sensitivities;
  • Clear and articulate communication of credit decisions with an ability to justify such if challenged (whether by Front Office or Senior Management) with sound reasoning;
  • Actively develop relationships with Front Office and with our colleagues in Head Office, and provide exceptional service and advice;
  • Spanish language skills are desirable

 

As a Risk Manager – Corporates your main responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Undertake internal rating assessments, using the Santander Group proprietary internal rating tools.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of new lending proposals, annual reviews and waiver requests, ensuring that all risks are identified and make a judgement as to their acceptability in a timely fashion followed by a suitable recommendation to the appropriate approval authority.
  • Provide technical expertise to team members.
  • Ensure alignment to the Group risk policies.
  • Provide independent and robust recommendations to the Senior Management/Committees about potential transactions.
  • When applicable, attend to the relevant committees both in the UK and Madrid.
  • Take a proactive role in communication to key stakeholders, maintain an awareness of the integration plans of the businesses and flag inconsistencies, conflicts and potential resource constraints both internally to the Manager as well as directly to stakeholders.
  • Operate with Senior Management levels across the business.
  • Participation in decision-making, committees and support to the Manager.
  • Exposure to senior management through business initiatives, forums and committees.
  • Control global positions and make sure excesses are investigated and appropriate action is taken within the required timescales.
  • Ensure that changes to regulatory landscape are incorporated into activities.

The Spend Manager team is responsible for managing the procurement function on behalf of our customers through execution and coordination of a variety of delivery teams across Accenture’s existing services. The Spend Manager must appropriately manage customer projects to exceed customer expectations, and will require a combination of hands-on contract management and shared service coordination depending upon the situation.

 

What are the responsibilities of the role?
The Spend Manager will translate the customer expectations and requirement into deliverables and will serve as the coordinator in the execution of the following tasks:

 

Sourcing planning and execution

 

  • Serve as single point of entry for the Customers to leverage sourcing and Category Management support
  • Operates as Quality checker for deliverables
  • Develop Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management Plan

 

Demand Management

 

  • Analyse and Forecast Demand, Analyse Reports & Provide Recommendations
  • Create and Manage sourcing and Contract management Pipeline
  • Generate Compliance Reports

 

 

Supplier Performance Management

 

  • Collect and Analyze Supplier Performance Data
  • Evaluate Supplier Relationships and Performance
  • Conduct Supplier Performance Meeting

 

What skills, experience and qualifications are we looking for?
Preferred Experience:

 

  • Experience applying a structured sourcing process to the management of specific commodities from analysis through final contract negotiations.
  • Experience developing, negotiating and maintaining long-term contractual relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Strong customer facing and relationship building and program management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing long term plans for entire categories not only unique contracts
  • Experience identifying issues and coordinating cross-functional resources to meet common goals

 

 

Preferred Knowledge:

 

  • Commodity Knowledge
  • Ariba Solutions, Emptoris, SAP

 

 

Basic Minimum Qualifications

 

  • English fluent and at least one in German or Spanish. Swedish is a nice to have.
  • Bachelors/University Degree
  • Significant professional experience (procurement, supply chain consulting or customer/supplier management experience preferred)
  • You must be willing to be fully mobile, i.e. prepared to work away from home Monday to Friday as up to 75% travel may be required
