Customer description
ASML – The world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry.
ASML is manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. Headquartered in Veldhoven (close to Eindhoven), the Netherlands, ASML designs, develops, integrates, markets and services these advanced systems, which enable its customers – the major chipmakers – to reduce the size and increase the functionality of microchips, and consumer electronic equipment.
Behind ASML’s technological breakthroughs are engineers who think ahead. The people who work at ASML include some of the most creative minds in physics, mathematics, chemistry, mechatronics, mechanical engineering and software engineering. And, because ASML spends more than half a billion Euros per year on R&D, our people have the freedom and the resources to push the boundaries of known technology. They work in close-knit, multidisciplinary teams and each day they listen to, learn from and exchange ideas with each other.
Your work environment
Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification and the design of the ASML products. In this sector you are surrounded with top technicians from all over the world, with whom you work together to develop future technology and processes. The department Mechatronics Systems Development is responsible for specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronics sub-systems and components which are fitted into the end products. The main focus is on nanometer-accuracy positioning of high speed components for transporting/positioning of wafers and reticles and adjustments of optical elements. As mechatronics designer you will be employed in one of these focus areas, where you have the opportunity to develop your self in the knowledge that you find interesting. This means that ASML gives you the chance to grow as fast as you want.
